The roots of Federated Insurance can be traced back to 1890, when a group of farm implement dealers in Minnesota formed an association to reduce their insurance costs. They created a mutual insurance company, which has evolved to today’s Federated Insurance. In 1920, the American company’s Canadian division was formed, and we look forward to proudly celebrating our 100th birthday next year.The company became 100% Canadian owned and operated in 1990.
